The handmade cherry jewellery box is nearing completion, with a few more coats of Tru oil, making some felt inserts and re-fitting the hardware, it will be ready for shipping off to its new home.
The main box is made from cherry, with the lift out tray being made from maple. Both woods really come to life with the application of a few coats of oil, really showing off the beautiful flecks in the maple and figure and depth in the cherry. Applying the first coat of oil is probably the most satisfying process of all!
